“Basically, I’m for anything that gets you through the night – be it prayer, tranquilizers or a bottle of Jack Daniels.”
– Frank Sinatra

In the rest of this article, you’ll find the medicines that are commonly used and prescribed for IBS diarrhea, constipation, bloating and abdominal pain. You’ll also find tips on best practices to use IBS medicines, how they work and what to do to heal your stomach beyond these medicines.

IBS Medication In Moderation

First, this is very important -  Medicines must always be taken under the supervision of your doctor. It is extremely dangerous to use drugs without proper supervision.

Second, medicines do not cure IBS. They provide quick relief in many cases. And often, they can give your overworked digestive system a little time to heal on its own. But IBS is a lifestyle-related condition, and medicines can’t completely solve the problem.

And so I recommend medicines for your symptoms for temporary relief, only under doctor supervision. Use the medicines to stay sane while we use the healthy supplement & diet regime to treat the source of your problems. You won’t need these medicines in a few weeks’ time.

Most importantly, you can not take these medicines by yourself. You must talk to your doctor to make sure these medicines are safe for you – you may very likely have special situations that I cannot foresee while writing this article. My job is giving you all the information you need, leave it to your doctor to make decisions about your medicine plan.

If you know beforehand that you will be eating incompatible food, or encountering stressful situations, keep the respective medicine for diarrhea, bloating or constipation with you.
